Engaging the Skeptics on Ethics: Does the Bible Give Absolute Rules or Only Conditional Rules?
Saturday August 15, 2026 10:00am - 10:45am EDT
Skeptics suggest that the Bible could not consistently give rules that apply at all times. Allegedly, life involves so many competing values and interests that every moral rule must be conditional. How can the biblical theist respond to this criticism?

Supporting Sisters: The Lost Art of Bearing Each Others Burdens and Listening Well
Saturday August 15, 2026 2:15pm - 2:45pm EDT
We all struggle from time to time. But one of the sweetest gifts within the Lord’s church is that we are never meant to carry those burdens alone. God, in His wisdom, has given us sisters who come alongside us to encourage, support, and help shoulder the weight.

One of the most important ways to show support is to engage in active listening. We will discuss examples of how Jesus and others in the Bible actively listened to those who needed to be heard. You will gain practical tools to grow as a thoughtful, compassionate listener, and when a sister comes to you and says, “I’m struggling. Can we talk?” you will feel equipped to respond with confidence and say, “Yes, I will listen.”
