Ben Phillips was born and reared in Statesville, North Carolina. He is married to the
former Patricia Lewis, daughter of Greg and Pamela Lewis who work with the Hopkins
Road Church of Christ in North Chesterfield, VA. Patricia and he have been married
since 2003. They have been blessed with three children: Adah Corinne, Nolan Elijah, and
Clara Abigail. He is a 2004 graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching where he
received the Outstanding Student Award. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from
Amridge University with further graduate level work. He preaches for the Peninsula
Church of Christ in Hampton, Virginia where he has been since graduating from MSOP
in June of 2004. He has been blessed to participate in annual campaigns in Costa Rica
since 2019. Besides the Lord and his family, he enjoys Duke college basketball, Star
Wars, the Lord of the Rings, Atlanta Braves baseball, and most things technology. Ben
