Chere Slocumb was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1968. She attended school in Clayton County. In 1988, she married Benjamin Slocumb and relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where she obeyed the gospel.
In 1998, she relocated back to Georgia. She is a member of the Shannon Church of Christ. Here is where she presently enjoys teaching children and ladies' Bible study
classes.
Chere has two awesome sons: Benjamin and Blake. She has two grandchildren: Hendrix and Harper Slocumb.
Chere graduated from Clayton State University, where she obtained an Associate of Science degree in Medical Office Administration. Here, she was awarded several Leadership and Academic awards. She currently works in the medical field as a Cardiovascular Technician.
She is very involved with her community and enjoys performing in theatrical productions. She has spoken at many ladies’ Fellowships and taken
several biblical courses. In March of 2016, she went on a missionary trip to the Micronesian island of Pohnpei and has plans to do more work abroad.
Chere recently published her first children’s book called “What Ever You Do, Finish It”
